The Sri Lanka JobsNet Ltd; which is a limited liability company under the purview of the Ministry of Productivity Promotion and currently governed by a Board of Directors chaired by the Secretary to the said Ministry, has outsourced its functions to the Department of Manpower and Employment, in terms of the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1640/31 dated 12.02.2010 and the Cabinet Decision No. 11/0882/556/006 dated 07.05.2011.

 
 
 

The JobsNet website is in operation, under the management of the Department, and all its services will be continued without any disruption.

 
 
  All the services mentioned below will be provided through the newly established "National Employment Service Center" (NES Center) at No. 295/1/1/1, Stanley Thilakerathne Mawatha, Nugegoda.

XI. Augmenting a Talent-pool

XII.Generating and Dissemination of Labour Market Information
 

The Department will open its District Job Assistance Centers (JACs) at the respective District Secretariats or suitable locations, from where all the above services will be provided. All the above services are given completely free-of-charge.

However, any value-added services (apart from the above) as requested by the interested parties: such as Vocational Trainings, Conducting interviews at employers’ requests, Advertisements in the JobsNet website; will be charged at subsidized rates that will be publically notified forthwith.

All the above services will be provided only by the public officers formally designated by the Department of Manpower and Employment, and any such service is not assigned or outsourced to any private institution or any individual.

The Department will not undertake any responsibility for any losses or damages that may incur to those who obtain any such service from any other institution or any personnel who are not formally designated by the Department of Manpower and Employment.
