•Preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements within the specific deadlines.
•Coordinating and ensuring the strategic business unit, cost center and profit center wise financial statements are prepared and submitted monthly.
•Maintains the general ledger while reconciling accounts receivable control accounts; accounts payable ledgers and fixed asset register and its control accounts.
•Comparison of actual expenses with the budget and submit the variance analysis to the management.
•Ensure the monthly reconciliations of GL balances and bank accounts, etc.
•Provides financial status information by preparing MIS reports; completing special projects.
•Ensure correct account allocation and posting of all transactions
•Assisting to financial planning & Budgeting process
•Contribute to the overall business by ensuring up to date and value adding financial management information , support and services are given by the department
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or commerce from recognized university.
•Professional part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA or CIMA (UK).
•3-4 Years’ experience in similar capacity with exposure in handling final accounts & MIS.
•Exposure to computerized accounting application packages and ERP systems.
•Sound knowledge accounting principles (SLRFS/LKAS)
•Team player with analytical mindset
•Have good verbal and written Sinhala & English language proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company.
