Job Description

Job Responsibilities
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of finance matters
• Work with team members and project managers to develop future purchasing plans
• Enter purchase orders in the ERP System
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing
• Review quality of purchased products
• Research potential vendors and price evaluation
• Assist in the procurement of material required for projects
• Maintain updated records of purchased products delivery information and invoices
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
• Ensure that all purchase requisition are attended to without delay
• Travel to project sites as required

Candidate Profile
• Minimum three years’ experience in similar capacity
• Good communication skills in English and ability to negotiate
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Experience in purchasing material for engineering projects would be a distinct advantage
• Professional qualification in purchasing management from a recognized institute would be an added advantage
